Beauty salon… and the Beast
Quinn: Working at the family wedding resort wasn’t exactly on my Bingo card. But it’s the only way for my siblings and me to get our grandfather’s inheritance, so here I am, staffing the Hott Spot Spa and Salon front desk. It’s an absurd gig for a man who makes Oscar the Grouch look like a people-person.
Still, I’m a hard worker. I’ve made a fortune off my scientific discoveries, and if I can engineer groundbreaking drugs, I can do anything, right? Not according to Sonya Rossi, the spa’s smoking hot and relentlessly perky manager. My grumpy approach is testing even sunshine-y Sonya’s patience. Meanwhile, I’m not sure whether I want to rain on her parade—or kiss the smile off her face.
Then the universe throws another curveball, putting us under the same roof. The closer Sonya gets, the more I like it—and her. I want to get to know her better and let her see the side of me I never show people. Until now, I’ve only believed in what I can touch, sense, and prove. I definitely don’t believe in love… but Sonya's making me wish I could.
A spicy, grumpy-sunshine, opposites attract, under-one-roof, forced proximity standalone romantic comedy set in the beloved small town of Rush Creek.

Quinn and Sonya
This new series is off to a great start! I’m so glad we get to stay in Rush Creek and see some of the same characters from the Wilder Adventures series. The premise for getting all of Hanna’s brothers together and back home is crafty and I’m looking forward to seeing what hoops the rest of the men have to jump through. Quinn and Sonya are a great couple. They see both see the other more clearly than they (and others) see themselves and work well together.
Quinn and Sonya
Oh my gosh! I have missed reading Serena Bell’s books! I absolutely adored the Wilder’s and now, the Hott’s are starting out to be just as good. The family dynamics between the five brothers and one sister are so true to life. They are there for each other, even if they are a little broken. This one is Quinn’s story and it seems we will get each brother’s story when his section of their grandfather’s will is read. All of the brother’s are very successful. Quinn is a scientist and not considered a family person. The will orders him to be a receptionist at the family owned spa for a determined amount of time. Sonya is the spa manager with lots of her own problems. She doesn’t know he is going to be working there. They also end up being roommates. It’s hard to get everything into a review, but this is a great read! He has such a big heart, and watching Quinn learn who he is and the same for Sonya is pretty special. This story had all of the feels and I look forward to the next one!
Introverted scientist and extroverted people pleaser
Quinn Hott, the scientist is forced to work a receptionist job at the Hott spa in order to fulfill his responsibilities to secure the Hott ranch for the family. Sonya Rossi, the spa manager is a super positive, people pleaser and unimpressed with grumpy Quinn, but maintaining the spa is important to her to secure the future of her employees.
I loved the banter, the push and pull of two total opposites; and I really loved that Quinn and Sonya drew out the best in each other while trying to save the spa and overcome all the obstacles they encountered.
There’s a happy ending… and you know who is up next in their grandfathers will, Shane.
