Keeps getting better!
I seldom write positive reviews (negative is more fun!) but this time … I may have to give 5 stars if the stories keep improving. The protagonist is a combination of obtuseness and “street smarts” that is convincing and entertaining. That difficult balance is well-maintained while the author piles on complications and obstacles and keeps the reader guessing. Well, we know our hero somehow will stagger through to the answer in the end, but the path is not obvious. Other characters have their own human (or inhuman) personalities and motivations that move the story forward. Worth checking out!
