Great premise and meaningful, but a bit monotonous
The symbolism of The House is present but not overbearing. Still, there seems to be an ever-revolving plot as the main characters navigate their way through the central section of the story. Perhaps the authors desired that the replication of events would produce in the reader a sense of the characters' enduring time and treachery. But it takes some work to avoid getting as turned around while reading as the protagonists do in the basement. The novel is longer than other works of Peretti, and it lacks some of the pace and changing of scenes that characterize his unique self-defining genre. I look forward to more of his Christian Suspense to chew on in the future.
WOW!!!!
This was the first real book I've ever read! And I'm blown away!!!! It was so scary, interesting, and got me hooked faster than anything else I've done. I love how they show Jesus, and His glory throughout the story! HE WILL ALWAYS STAND VICTORIOUS. FOREVER!!!

This is one of the scariest and most engaging stories I have read anywhere. Fantastic writing!
