Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.
Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Bang-up action and satisfyingly intense romantic fantasy drive the third installment of Sarah J. Maas’s thrilling (and sexy!) Crescent City series. (Honestly, if you haven’t read the first two, start with them first.) Half-Fae, half-human, entirely formidable Bryce Quinlan is on a mission: save her planet of Midgard from its cruel colonizers, the Asteri, and in the process discover her true power and inheritance. She and her fearless partner, Hunt Athalar, are on an all-or-nothing hunt for strategies, weapons, and allies. And they find all of them—as well as some new enemies—in the strangest of places. (Fans of Maas’ Court of Thorns and Roses series will recognize some names!) Maas does an incredible job of building out the world in a complex and delightful way. Midgard is home to many different species like shape-shifters, water dwellers, angels, and even the dead, all of which have their own hierarchies and social idiosyncrasies. It’s a tribute to Maas’ remarkable skill that even with so many characters, twists, and plotlines, House of Flame and Shadow almost feels short at just over 800 pages.

Great Ending
This book was action packed and fun to read. I nearly died when other Fae characters showed up!
Exciting but I don’t love Bryce
The book has great storylines - lots of excitement. The last two books build to what comes at the end of this book and it all happens so fast, too fast maybe. It’s an exciting build to a really quick remedy.
I don’t love Bryce. Sure, I love the strong female savior trope like I love Nesta, but Bryce is somehow too much.
This needs to be a movie!!!!
This series is absolutely amazing!! Everything you need in a book in a series, everything. I love how it ended but I still want more of it!!!
