How Can I Escape‪?‬

How Can I Escape is a powerful account of a woman who lived apart from God. She lived a life that would be the envy of many: A promising and upcoming piano prodigy and winner of Ms. Illinois through the Shriners (and being prepped for the Miss America Pageant). She was intelligent, beautiful, and determined. Yet there was an emptiness and depression inside of her that she did not know how to handle. It was that emptiness and depression that almost destroyed her. Her battles and struggles ranged from abortion to rape, cancer, and a heart attack. She was homeless, mentally abused in a broken marriage, and ostracized by the church. Yet through it all, she built a loving relationship with God amidst the turmoil around her. I wrote How Can I Escape to give hope to souls who believe their lives are chaotic.
