How to Save a Life

My name is Alex. I am 17 years old and the only girl in my training. I was chosen from the womb to be a spy. My mother had no choice; I was supposed to be a boy. I was raised among the boys, treated like a boy, and made to look like a boy.

            

I am strong. I am trained. I am lethal.

Being a spy with the institution is all Alex has known since birth. She has never questioned anything or thought twice about the life she leads, until she meets a normal boy. Ben is unlike any of the male spies she has grown up with. He is curious, he questions things, and most importantly, he's completely ordinary. He teaches Alex what it's like to not be a spy, but she could never leave the institution.

            

Alex is caught up in an exciting new world, but she must remember her duties to the institution and resist the temptations of their rival spy group, the raemen, all while trying not to put Ben in danger. But no one is safe when they are around a spy from the institution, especially if they are from the outside world.
