How to Shoot The United State Rifle

Written in 1913 by US Army Captain George Bowman, this book is an outstanding introduction to marksmanship with the bolt action rifle. Focusing on the then U.S. service rifle, the M1903 Springfield, its all-around approach covers every aspect of functioning and operation of this historic rifle. The clear descriptions of how to accurately aim, sighting tips, and trigger control are all still applicable to this day. 


Further chapters go into proper techniques of the various shooting positions, use of the sling and compensating for wind at long range. Additionally there is specific info on cleaning, useful accessories and tips on best practices during competitive shooting.
