How Well Did You Know Stanley‪?‬

What would you call a man who is professionally successful, mentally introverted, insecure, with no self-esteem, imagination to the point of insanity, who, to add to the problem, has no real friends?  The author calls him STANLEY LIPSCOMB.

     Poor dear Stanley goes from one funeral to another, looking for companionship, and possibly the girl of his most imaginative dreams.  As unlikely as it may seem, he finds what he is looking for, but his adventures along the way are less than excellent, and the people he meets along his journey of the dead are not what he imagines in his fantasies.  As Stanley puts it, “Nothing ever turns out the way I plan.  Why?  God, is it too much to ask?”  Apparently God thinks so, but in the long run, and it is a crazy, adventurous run, Stanley comes to a surprisingly happy ending.
