Dive into Hunger, a paranormal romance anthology by New York Times bestselling author Eve Langlais, Kate Douglas, and A.C. Arthur!
A brand new, never before published novella!
In The Alpha’s Mate, villains aren’t supposed to rescue damsels, and pack alphas are known to have complete control of their wolf. But when Fabian saves a certain lady from drowning, everything he knows gets tossed away and only one thing becomes clear: she’s his mate—and someone wants to kill her. Hell no. Protecting her, though, is only part of his problem. He also has to convince her she belongs to him. In her words, “Hell no.”
When she flees, little does she realize this wolf loves to chase. And when he catches the woman he wants? She’ll become the Alpha’s Mate.
Previously published in the 2-in-1 e-original Claimed by the Mate Volume 3 and in print for the first time!
In Dangerous Passions, finding a mate shouldn’t be all that difficult for a sexy werewolf on the prowl. Modern women want romance and seduction, and Feral Passions Resort has served that purpose for providing both for the men of the Trinity Alps pack. Only two are still unmated—alpha leader Traker Jakes and his lieutenant Evan Dark—but danger stalks the women they’ve chosen. Danger that threatens everyone in the pack at Feral Passions.
In Bound to the Wolf, Marena Panos is an attorney with a dark secret that follows her into the mountains and into the bed of a Phelan Sava, a lycan whose strength and shared penchant for pleasure/pain will eventually own her body and soul.
Langlais, Douglas, and Arthur deliver a weak and disappointing collection of steamy shape-shifter romances. Langlais's "Alpha's Mate" introduces a protagonist who inexplicably develops amnesia during an attempt on her life, then falls for a stereotypical pack alpha after he rescues her. The sex scenes are plentiful, but the plot is incoherent and the characters are uninteresting. Douglas's much stronger contribution, "Dangerous Passions," is also the only reprint in the collection. It follows the end of summer romances as the two unmated members of the Trinity Alps pack find their match and face the peril it brings. The story is bolstered by a thoughtful exploration of the tension between innate abilities and natural temperament in leadership roles, and featuring an engaging cast of characters, but it isn't strong enough to save the collection from Arthur's "Bound to the Wolf," a fumbling mess in which the villain attempts to rape the heroine and then the hero molests her in her sleep. Fans of the genre can look elsewhere to get their fix.

Fun little compilation!!
**Received ARC from Netgalley for a fair and honest review**
Overall I'd rate this book a 4. I really enjoyed The Alpha's Mate, rate it at 4.5 stars. Viviene was kidnapped so that she could be killed. Fabien was in the right place at the right time and saved her. But she has amnesia and doesn't know who she is and whoever was trying to kill her is not done. It takes an interesting twist at the end, though I wish it would have given just a little more story at the end. I love the humor that the author throws in her stories, I know that when I read her stories I will laugh and be entertained, yet will still get the romance and the hot steamy scenes. This was my favorite story in the compilation.
The next book Dangerous Passions I would rate as 3.75 stars. It is supposed to be able to be read as a standalone, however I think it needed to be read in order to get more out of it. It started with an interesting premise, but I didn't like the concurrent love stories running side by side. The one fell flat, the other was a little better, felt like they started building it up and then it fell flat also. The characters didn't wow me overly much and it was missing a lot and at the end it ended leaving you wondering. It wasn't a bad story it just didn't wow me.
The third and final book Bound to the Wolf, I would rate at 4 stars. It was a fun premise, I enjoyed the characters, plenty of hot steamy scenes, biggest issue was the ending ended, and leaves you wanting more information on the couple. I was thoroughly intrigued by the little bit of mythology thrown in and different types of characters. This was my first book by this author and will have to go check out more of her stuff. Happy Reading!!
4.5 Overall Stars!
What a great shifter combination of stories with these three authors. You get the silly and fun humor in Alpha's Mate by Eve Langlais; super sweet, protective Alpha's in Dangerous Passion by Kate Douglas; and the really intense, protective Alpha in Bound to the Wolf by A.C. Arthur.
3.75 Stars for Alpha's Mate by Eve Langlais
Dominant hero, dominant heroine that has clashing personalities but in a humorous way. A bit of danger since someone is trying to kill Vivienne but Fabian goes all protective Alpha on her. This one was entertaining with the over-the-top humor that almost bordered on too much. It's not one you'll take seriously, but will definitely give you a good laugh.
4 Stars for Dangerous Passion by Kate Douglas.
Normally I like the more dominant alpha's in my books but I can not complain about a man who is all about taking care of his woman. That's exactly what you get in Dangerous Passion. These shifters may be more of an omega males but they sure do know how to protect their females. This book is loaded with sugary sweetness. Plus you get two couples story in one book!
5 Stars for Bound to the Wolf.
Bound to the wolf is almost the complete opposite. Talk about intense! You can't get more dominant than Phelan. I would best describe him as dominant, broody and commanding. It takes a very strong woman to handle Phelan and he certainly met his match with Marena. I had to bring out the fan for this book. Hot! Hot! Hot!
All three books are a continuation in a series. While I think you could read them as a standalone, you will be missing some information on characters that were in previous books. ARC provided by NetGalley.
