Amazing.
Loved this book so much. I read it in a day because I couldn’t put it down and when I did all I thought about was what was going to happen next. It had a great plot and amazing characters. Definitely would recommend this book to any one who loves vampires, love, and a little vengeance.
Bored
This reminded me, too late, why I try not to read Felicity Heaton. So, so bored. Tor showed promise in the beginning. Waltzing into the club, dispatching all the bad guys. The story opened up with Eve whining, and it never stopped. I almost DNF’d several times. I did not because the premise of the story was good and I was hopeful Tor would bring lots of action to the story. Definitely wrong there. Anyway, the story was told in two POVs. The killer for me and this author is, the story is 90% in their head, and 10% actual conversation. Maybe even less. We are fed the story by the author. There is no way the MC’s actually developed a relationship. Lust perhaps because they rarely had a conversation with each other. There were pages of conversation in their heads and then “come on,” “you can’t make me feed” or whatever, then pages and pages in their heads again. Also, there are always holes. The story felt incomplete. Added a star for the action at the end.
