Together they solve riddles and overcome obstacles, but their journey is only beginning. Togashi shows a deft touch with this standard manga story, already a hit in Japan. Gon and his companions are endearing and complex, and they complement each other well. The artwork is clear and graceful, though the last chapter shows some graphic violence that may upset younger readers. Those looking for the next Pok mon or Yu-Gi-Oh can stop searching.

To be truthful, I am hooked, and I fall in love with this story again and again and again. Togashi should be lauded as a literary hero, an absolute craftsman, artist, and hyper-contextualized human.

Manga journey continues
Second volume I’ve ever completed of any manga. I read through this a lot faster than the last. The fight is insane wow, around 100 pages long! So glad I own this, chrollo is my favorite character and we rarely get to see him in a battle. It’s interesting learning what all of his abilities can do. Can’t wait to read the next volume
