In a parallel narrative set in 1951 Cairo, Hannah Ainsworth, wife of aging British diplomat Alistair Ainsworth, embarks on an affair with Lucien Beck, a handsome assistant hotel manager. Good
A little slow in spots but a good story
My first Beatriz Williams…but not my last
Wow. What a story, and what a journey, with characters so perfectly developed this book was never boring. The twists and turns could never compare to the ending. I loved this book so much, it’ll always have a place on my bookshelf so I can re-read it.
