The great deception of the 21st century

At a time when the church needs an urgent wake-up call and a fresh encounter with Jesus, the hyper-grace message is lulling many to sleep. Claiming to be a new revelation of grace, this teaching is gaining in popularity, but is it true? Or is the glorious truth of grace being polluted by errors, leading to backsliding, compromise, and even the abandonment of faith?

Hyper-Grace looks at the major teachings put forth by many adherents of this “grace reformation” and prayerfully compares those teachings with the Word of God, answering questions such as:

·          How do our sins affect our relationship with God?

·          What is the relevance of the Old Testament to our faith?

·          What does Jesus actually have to say about grace?

Without watering down the Bible’s true message of grace, Michael Brown gives you the facts, demonstrating the dangers of this seductive message and showing you how to keep from being taken in.

If you are a grace man, it’s worth reading!

First I want to say the amount of work and time Dr. Brown put into this book is phenomenal. There are good points in the book and also some things I will continue to look at/ may differ on. Dr. Brown makes a graceful plea for all believers to be wise in what they are hearing and believing. This book is also written with upmost respect to everyone it calls out.

I am a “hyper grace” supporter. Impacted in a positive way by many of the people listed in the book. After reading this there are definitely some beliefs he lists I want to be very distant from. I learned a lot about what I need to be more clear on when presenting the Gospel of Grace.

Ultimately the grace teaching led me out of an 8 year drug addiction into a holy life serving Jesus on the mission field. So whatever “grace” message I got brought me closer to Jesus with a change in my mind, heart, and lifestyle. And Dr. Brown suggests in the book that Grace is good and is the Gospel but attacks exaggerations that have been published.

If you listen to grace preachers or are one, it will help you and others to listen to the points in the book. I am excited to be more clear and plain in my presenting of God’s amazing Grace.
