Hypnotism and Clairvoyance is divided into two sections. The first book explains how to hypnotize oneself and develop one's clairvoyant powers. It also describes the different phases of hypnotic states, different methods of hypnosis, telepathy and soul-seeing. The second book describes the experiences of clairvoyant Mrs. S. J. Weltner. With no knowledge of astronomy, Mrs. Weltner purports to have visited Mars through astral projection, and the second book explains what she saw there.
