I Can Count

In this book Millie the Mathematician helps us learn to count. She also helps us identify 2-D shapes. We learn the connection between the written name of a number, its numeral and its quantity. We also learn to identify different shapes and consider the differing characteristics of different shapes. This book addresses the following content descriptors: “Connect number names, numerals and quantities initially up to ten” from the Number and Algebra strand; and “Sort, describe and name familiar two-dimensional shapes” from the Measurement and Geometry strand of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics.
