Interminable!
Way too long. Drowning in emotions. Some of the characters and plot threads were of interest, but I don’t think I’ve ever met a more neurotic protagonist.
I ended up scanning the last few hundred pages (on my phone) and still absorbed all the pertinent information and new plot lines. Just wanted to see what happened to Lottie.
The insertion of the podcaster’s interviews was a clever plot device, but it beggared belief that he got all those people to talk to him.
I know, I know - “suspension of disbelief” when reading literature. But this is not literature. This is the product of a fevered mind 😜.
By the way, I don’t think there’s a modern writer out there who knows the difference between “disinterested”and “uninterested.”
