David is an everyday kind of guy who gets falsely accused of some gruesome murders, goes to jail awaiting trial, then gets released based on new evidence. Funded by his mother, he teams up with his lawyer, Bob, and his best friend, Jim. to track down the real killer as a kind of private investigation team. He is constantly hounded by the lead detective who had put him in jail for the murders in the first place!
