How Apple’s brilliant founder’s wish nearly came true, and how another of his well-known offerings, encouraging people to Think Different, led the author to, in time and tragically too late, trip over Heraclitus of Ephesus, the so-called ‘Nimis Obscurē’ or ‘too obscure’ Ancient Greek philosopher and, in recognizing himself in that seminal mind’s words subsequently earned an understanding of what it means to Think Excellently, as Heraclitus intended.


I Searched Myself – Heraclitus, Socrates & Thinking Excellently is a seminal offering in the fields of Philosophy & Self-Improvement. Considered 'nimis obscurē' or 'too obscure' by academics for more than 2,500 years, he is presented clearly here in lesson format for those who would profit from the teachings of the man who, it is now evident, was a major influence on no less a thinker than Socrates, shown in new context supporting the author's interpretation.

 

Scholars may sniff at my uneducated take from their ivory towers, but I in turn am inclined to gently point out that they admit, freely, to having failed to fully parse him for some twenty-five hundred years now, so perhaps a fresh approach and perspective were what was needed all along.
