İstanbul Photo Awards 2024

İstanbul Photo Awards is an international news photography competition organized by Anadolu Ajansı (AA), the global news agency for over 100 years. Aiming to contribute to the field of news photography, the competition rewards the efforts of brave and talented professional photographers from around the world on the basis of merit. Istanbul Photo Awards has become one of the most recognized news photography competitions in the world.
The İstanbul Photo Awards 2024 photo book features the previous year's award-winning news, sports, nature and environment, daily life and portrait photographs, from the world swimming championship in Japan to the Wimbledon tennis tournament, from discrimination in India to migrants who lost their lives in Spanish waters. On the cover of the book, photojournalist Mohammed Salem, who won the "Photo of the Year" award, has taken a photo for Reuters titled "Palestinian Woman Hugging the Dead Body of Her Nephew".
