Haas encyclopedia of songs
This book is fabulous! So much rich history from 40+ years of liturgical music. The book starts with an alphabetize list of 130 songs and ends with fantastic photos. With the pages in between, there are detailed stories about how many of our favorite songs came to be, and what was on Mr. Haas’s heart when he composed these. The author writes in a storytelling form that is easy to follow and invokes so much emotion. It is hard to sing David Haas songs each week without remembering the stories behind each one after reading this book.
