I will not be poor

This is the inspirational story of an Filipino immigrant to the United States.  Dr. Ramon Gustilo was born on a small island in the Philippines.  He was sold as an infant to relatives, in order to fool the evil spirits whom his mother believed wanted to take him as she had already lost two young sons.  He has a pivotal moment during his daily chores tending the water buffalo…where he declares that "I will not be poor" and with the love and support of his family, he changes the direction of his life.  "I Will Not Be Poor" is a story remembering the journey of a young filipino boy to success beyond his dreams.
