I so thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a great addition to the series. This series is about our wounded warriors. They come to Hathaway House to heal the mind, body and spirit. Not only does Hathaway House help veterans, but animals as well. Here is vet tech, Robin Carruthers, she has only been at Hathaway for a short period of time. She has seen miracles happen with both the patients and the animals. She spots a new veteran when he arrives. Unfortunately Iain MacLeod didn't take an ambulance but had a friend drive him in a truck. Iain is in agony. He questions his decisions to come to Hathaway as coming by truck set his recovery back weeks.
This story is such a heartwarming, clean story of two people coming together and finding healing. I enjoyed that this story was written in a dual POV format. Robin feels like she isn't good enough for Iain and seeing how she deals with her feelings really is a thought-provoking moment.
Even though this is a part of a series, this can be a stand-alone. This is a clean, sweet romance that I highly recommend to anyone.
Fantastic
Dale Mayer has done it again I absolutely love this series on Hathaway House. Iain’s journey is awe inspiring with Robin by his side I know he’ll accomplish all that he sets out to do . Now just the long wait for Jaden’s tale .
One Step at a Time and With the Help of Others
Iain, a wounded SEAL with a determination to improve and strengthen, skips the ambulance and uses his own plan to reach Hathaway House. He quickly learns that independence can work or can hamper. Progress, growth, underlying sources of strength and hidden wounds, a matter of perspective. The characters are colorful and resemble a strong family geared on healing those around them. Tell me more, tell me more. Bravo!
