Reginald's life just hasn't been the same ever since the love of his life passed away. After an unexpected layoff occurs, Reginald decides to spruce up his apartment and buy a new carpet. What he receives is more than he ever could have bargained for. This story was inspired by the Adrian Belew song of the same name. It was originally published in the 2017 short story collection A-Sides and B-Sides.
