Thank you for writing this book!

Little back story as to how I came across the book:
I have recently decided to cut out a lot of things from my life I wasn’t finding joy in. I started by tailoring my social medias and all together removing them either by deleting or temporary deactivation.
I purged a lot of my materialistic possessions. I removed anything that felt not right for who I wanted to be and who I truly am inside. I realized a lot of my life was based on things and other people and I wanted to go on a “soul searching journey” (as I call it).

What this book has done for me:
I’ve been reading self help books left and right and this book has been the biggest help in learning to identify my unhealthy, unhelpful, and unhappy habits. Some things I already knew, but SO MUCH I can’t believe I never noticed!
This book is definitely one book I will be reading over and over again. I felt even after highlighting and quoting so much and rereading what I took away from this text I could read it again and learn even more!
I was so worried this wouldn’t implement enough insight into each main point, but it broke it down so beautifully! Everything gave a small window into the reality many of us face (life is far from perfect and it can be oh so hard), but with that there gave an ANSWER! And as much as the answer sounds tacky “letting it go” was nothing but useful advice.
I cannot wait to implement what I have learned with my everyday life! I cannot wait to reread this book!

Good concepts, but too broad to be useful.

Overall the principles are valuable, but nothing new or ground-breaking. The lessons were overly broad and didn’t offer any substantial or concrete methods for implementing these concepts in your every day life. There was a tenuous connection to the author’s childhood and young adult life, which seemed like an editor’s note to make the piece more personal, but never seemed to achieve what was set out. There are a lot of self-help books out there. I’d skip this one for one that’s more meaningful and offers tangible techniques.
