    Exquisite and Delightful ,

    The Bird Feeder of Istanbul

This lovely and informative book is an absolute delight! It is gorgeous and touching, beautifully written and designed with wonderful interactive features that really make the world of Istanbul come alive. And what a timely book for children on the traditions of Islam. The photography is superb and the storyline expertly crafted. Enjoyable for children and adults alike. I think this would be a terrific book for schools to incorporate in the classroom.

I really love the story of the boy and his grandfather (Emre & Dede) and their daily ritual/work together. I felt the sense of mystery and joy a child feels and warmth of family. A glimpse into a day in Istanbul square sparked my travel bug. Great short read for kids and adults. The extra media with it is fun too.

I learned so much about the Islamic faith from reading this book. Loved the interactive features and the beautiful photographs. Can't wait to share with my grandkids. I'm looking forward to more titles from Mr. Ewing.
