The year was 1912, but rumors of a war in Europe was the last thing on Blair MacGreagor's mind. Engaged and hopelessly in love, she returned to America from the United Kingdom on the HMS Mauretania thinking only of planning her wedding. Yet, by the end of her first day on dry land, her whole world was turned upside down.
In 1713, in order to secure his passage to America, Scotland's Rory MacGreagor happily signed an indentured servant contract and boarded a tall ship. It wasn't long before he suspected it was a decision he would come to regret.

Beloved Vows, Book 4
Not two stories, but three. An 18th century story of Rory MacGreagor’s voyage to America to start a new life. Blair MacGreagor’s first time on her own in a city she knows little about. And Emily a friend Blair met shortly after deciding to delay her return to Colorado. There are no great clan battles, but intrigue and three young people finding themselves.
Rory has moments of danger on the voyage. Blair has the usual attempts of charlatans trying to get her money. Emily has a secret that frightens her and has to face ogres of her own as she makes the biggest transition of the three. I am sad to see the MacGreagor saga come to an end, but Marti Talbott has more books and series to dive into.
