A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens has been part of the Christmas holidays for over a century and a half, since its initial best-selling publication in 1843. Much of the narrative has even shaped other Christmas traditions, including thinking of those in need at this time of year as well as our seasonal longing for snow.
