The Bequest
Absolutely one of the best books I have read. The characters were so real and imperfect that I felt like I knew them. The plot kept me turning the pages and finally the writing was just amazing.

Finally! An author who knows how to use pronouns. When to use me instead of I, her instead of she etc. This book reads like it was written by an intelligent well versed adult, with a good grasp of sentence structure, and an exceptional command of the English language. She is highly articulate, using expressive vocabulary to bring her characters to life. All three of the main characters are flawed. They have been scarred inside and out by betrayal at the hands of people who should have been supportive and caring. But they come together and help each other to move past the pain and find strength in each other. They learn to depend on each other, develop strong emotional ties to one another and ultimately find love. I only read free books so half of what I read sounds like it's written by a fifth grader. What an unexpected and welcome change from my normal fare. Good story, great author.

If you don’t like profanity and you don’t like sex scenes then flip past it. Read for a glimpse of what other ppl live with.
