The best part about being Christopher Bennett is that no one ever really says no to me.
I'm persuasive. I'm witty. And boy, do I know how to turn on the charm.
If only I could turn my family's attempts at persuasion off. Their meddling is out of control. No one asked them to matchmake. Certainly not me. And certainly not with an interior decorator raising her younger siblings.
Then Victoria Hensley turns out to be more than just a decorator.
Her laughter is contagious. Her beautiful lips and curves are beyond tempting. Sparks are flying between us, to my dismay and my family's delight. Next thing I know, I'm training her brother in soccer and reading bedtime stories to her sister. Who am I?
Turns out I can't say no to Victoria. And I refuse to let her say no to me. I know I'm a client, that I'm technically off-limits. But doesn't that make it all the more exciting? I'm determined to see this thing through to the end. And I won't settle for anything less than a happily-ever-after.
Christopher and Victoria
Really enjoyed reading this book. It takes a special man to come into someone’s life and stay and end up being the father figure to children that are not even his. Victoria was also a wonderful person by raising her brother and sister as if they were hers and not letting them go nowhere.
Love, Love, Love Christopher
So can I just say that I love this family and I love this series! Layla Hagen is such a wonderful writer! Christopher and Victoria were such a cute couple, tiptoeing around one another with this crazy sexual tension that they felt they couldn't act on. Christopher was one of Victoria's clients (she's an interior designer) and she didn't want to cross that line. However, as we know... it's hard to resist that Bennett charm. Victoria also had to take into account her 3 siblings she was now raising on her own after their parents deaths. Chloe, Sienna, and Lucas are the cutest kids and it's hard not to fall in love with them - I love the way they interacted with Christopher, accepting him into the fold. There were a few mishaps along the way, as is true with any Bennett family member, especially with the fact that Victoria has to fight social services to keep custody of her siblings. I loved the easy banter between Christopher and Victoria and their chemistry! She kept me hooked from beginning to end with this story and of course you can expect to see appearances from your other favorite Bennett's! As always, I can't wait to see more from this series. A fun, light read mixed with a little suspense and a lot of steam!
Love the Bennett family and Christopher's story didn't disappoint
I’m a huge fan of the Bennett Family series. It’s Christopher’s turn to get “Bennettitis” as Pippin and Alice plot his downfall into romance. He is buying a new place so his sister’s recommend Victoria to decorate for him. They see a perfect match between the two. Christopher had his heart broken by a woman so he doesn’t want a relationship. Of course, he never expected feisty, confident Victoria to bump into his life. Victoria is surprised by Christopher and his thoughtfulness to her sister. She is now the guardian to her three siblings and has started her own business making her life stressful as she tries to balance everything. She is always worried that what she is doing is the best thing for the kids. As Victoria tries to keep her relationship with Christopher professional, Christopher keeps finding ways to slide into her personal life. There is a wonderful blending of their lives as these two given in to their attraction. Of course, life throws them a few curve balls along the way. Love their chemistry, banter and flirting. The kids are wonderful and Chloe steals the show more than once!
