She’s at the mercy of her alien abductor…

After a vicious attack on Earth, Tara Diehl flees earth for the dubious safety of planet Parseon. A vendor in the marketplace, she’s adjusted to the male-dominated culture better than most until she’s kidnapped by Alpha Commander Marlix, one of the five rulers of the planet. At first she’s terrified of her tall, muscled abductor, especially when he doesn’t hesitate to quell her struggle for freedom with a little corporal discipline. After all her methods and ploys to escape fail, she decides to seduce her way to freedom.

But out of subterfuge grows a true intimacy that cause Marlix and Tara to take a stand that drives Parseon to the brink of a civil war, which threatens their love and their lives.

Terran, the second book in the Breeder series, is a “capture” romance involving a domineering but hunky alien and a female with a bad dye job and an even worse attitude.

Great 2nd addition to the series!

I was generously given an ARC for a honest review. I was anxiously waiting for the follow up to Breeder and Terran did not disappoint. I loved both the H/h! First of all, Marlix comes off as a huge chauvinist pig but as we get to know him and how he was raised, we start to understand. He is a product of his upbringing but has a kind heart and a big softie. The reader does empathize with his struggle with Parseon Protocol and his role as an Alpha and how he should feel especially toward Tara. Normally when writers try to write about a spunky heroine, they end up portraying them as annoying and shrill. But Tara is the perfect amount of spunky strength and softness. She is the perfect mate to Marlix. The story is basically about Tara and Marlix falling in love and coming to terms/compromising with their relationship and how it interacts living on Parseon. There is a backdrop of a possible civil war and I'm assuming it will be resolved in the 3rd and final book Warrior. I have been really enjoying this series and will be sad to see it end!

Really enjoy this series!!!

** Received ARC for a fair and honest review **
Terran is Alpha/Commander Marlix and Tara's story and is the 2nd book in the Breeder series. This book could be read as a standalone, but I think you would lose a lot of the meaning and wouldn't make as much sense. Plus you are introduced to all the characters and the storyline in the first book, this is just my humble opinion. In the first book you meet Marlix and minorly Tara at the bazaar. Marlix in the first story is definitely not my favorite character, and I was very curious to see how the author would redeem him.
Marlix is against the Bazaar and having foreigner's, but they are not in his province, and right now they have what he is looking for. When Marlix and his beta Urazi go into the bazaar for fabric, they are not expecting to meet someone like Tara, a female that is bold, seemingly fearless, carries herself like a warrior and doesn't kowtow to them, and this greatly intrigues Marlix. To Tara, Marlix and the men in their society are essentially a bunch of chauvinistic pigs. After Marlix makes a purchase and forgets an item, Tara makes a grave error and leaves the bazaar. When Marlix finds her injured, he grabs her and gets her medical care, but it really isn't that simple, and I don't want to spoil things for you.
Ok so here are my thoughts... I really enjoyed this book, however in the beginning of the book Tara is this strong, confident and fearless woman, and then they weaken her overall as a female, she isn't this bold, brave, fearless female and that bothered me. I enjoyed the characters, the chemistry between them, interesting continuation of the previous storyline. I also liked how Marlix and even his beta Urazi are redeemed. Obviously that was going to happen or there wouldn't be a book, but I was not expecting things to unfold how they did, which is a good thing for me. This book moves quickly and was hard to put down. I am definitely looking forward to the next book! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

An inspired follow-up to Breeder!

Another Alpha Commander sees the light. Marlix is on a mission to procure special fabric in the Terran section of the Marketplace. He meets colorful, bold Tara Diehl. "She's as colorful in her speech as she is in her appearance." Vehemently opposed to the way Alpha Commander Dak caters to Parseons who seek change in Protocol, Marlix reacts in an unexpected manner to his encounter with Tara. Watching the changes in attitude come over him is fascinating. Slowly, progress is made. Our colorful Tara goes through plenty of changes of her own. In the end, this could be the basis of a cultural revolution. A thrilling story with cultural beliefs desperately in need of change!
