A loner, Raze sees a spacecraft making an emergency landing in a rainstorm. Seeing a woman in danger, he heads out to help. What a thrilling start to a story! Raze and Sevda are two unique individuals with pasts that have similarities. Each has strengths honed by adversity, and they complement each other in many ways. I really like them as individuals and as a couple.
What begins as an attraction and an opportunistic “why not,” soon builds into something from which a future might be built. This is an excellent story that would work well as an intro to a spin-off world of The Drift. Will it be? I can only hope. I’m not done with these people yet.
