A Sicilian Experience

This is my experience living in Sicily, Italy for a year. It gives personal perspective of the Sicilian culture that appears separate from that of mainland Italy. It explores Sicily’s wine, food, off-the-beaten-path hidden gems and so much more you won’t read about in tourist guide books and travel magazines. It paints a unique picture of this island in the crossroads of the Mediterranean Sea marine trade routes; a geopolitical strategically vied for location by many ancient civilizations. It shares the things I learned, experienced and appreciated about the island’s diverse history and how it is exampled through the different towns and their local traditions, foods, wines, festivals and rich history.
