Publisher Description

A Fae hell-bent on Revenge. A shifter prison guard searching for answers. And a dangerous path to cross.

When a family member is murdered, Avery Dubois is led to believe the murderer isn't human. But her wildly dangerous journey for the truth ends when she is thrown into solitary confinement in a paranormal penitentiary.

With the help of a were-shifter guard—Gabe—she discovers a theft from his pack may very well be connected to the murder of her loved one. Gabe agrees to break her out of prison on one condition: she provides him with the information she discovered to hunt down the one responsible for both crimes.

But rivalry between Fae and Shifters goes back several generations, and neither knows if they can really trust the other. And as they work together to solve both cases, Avery quickly realizes that helping Gabe could put her in more danger. If she doesn't, however, they could both end up dead.

Good Start

I received an advanced copy and the book was a quick read. There is mystery and adventure for the main half fae character. She is a feisty woman who gets into “complicated” situations that she needs to deal with in the supernatural world. There is very little romance but plenty of action drama. I would read the next book to see what kind of trouble Would become Avery and the exciting ways she solves her own problems.

Great start

Revenge of the Fae is book 1 in a new series by Carly Fall. It’s appropriate for high school age readers and up. The book brings you through one mishap after another that befalls a half-fae named Avery. At some points in the book, your heart aches for her. Near the end you are introduced to two intriguing werewolf characters and there is a hint of chemistry between them and Avery. I wasn’t ready for the book to end. 😄. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and hope that those romantic relationships are broadened upon.
