Searching for a New Medicine - Kirsty’s project

This illustrated children’s story, by Suzanne Duce, Tracy Bayliss and Daisy MacGowan, is about a little girl with a curious nature. She finds an amazing book on microbes when she visits the local library with her school class. To find more about these microscopic creatures, she attends an open day at the University of Dundee. There she goes on a tour and meets scientists working on neglected tropical diseases. The middle part of the book is her report describing how new medicines are discovered (www.sites.dundee.ac.uk/duce).
