Fresh and unexpected!
This is book 9 in the series and it features Blake “Baby” Bollinger and Quinn Harrison Pritchard. The surprises just keep coming in this fabulous book! The romance is classic, beautiful, younger man/older woman, which suits Baby to a tee. The mystery and suspense is top notch, which is exactly what we’ve grown accustomed to with this author.
The nickname of “Baby” kept throwing me off and throughout this entire book I was never comfortable calling him “Baby.” Still, the story line is brilliant and the characters are amazing. This author’s stories are always fresh and unexpected.
An Amazing Love Story
As always, Janie Crouch gets your heart pumping and your adrenaline spiking in the new Linear Tactical book. At first glance, Baby and Quinn don't seem to make good match. Their differences too vast to be able to make any kind of romantic relationship work. Well, they are an exciting couple that is able to let go and be free with one another. I love them together and they compliment each other in such an adorable and magical way.
The drama, as crazy as it is, seems to have followed Quinn from Cambridge. The troubles just keep coming and she can't hide from her past especially, with the part-time sheriff, Gavin having some doubt of her innocence is extreme bad luck. It is making Quinn miserable and her life extra difficult. It is also making her question everything she has every thought about herself. Her bright spot is Baby and his "feelings for her are the reason for the clarity" to see the truth beyond the obvious...if it's not too late.
I really appreciate how Ms. Crouch weaves in some extra real life concerns in her books. In Baby and Quinn's story, Quinn is twelve years older than Baby. With her age being 39, questions of fertility, pregnancy complications and adoption are addressed with care, concern and respect.
I LOVE everything about this story...
It’s fun...It’s flirty... it’s real .....
I just love the chemistry and playfulness between Baby (Blake) and Quinn his Cupcake!
Quinn finds herself in Oak Creek after a scandal destroyed her perfect world. Now she has no husband, no home and no prestigious Harvard Job.
She’s here to make a fresh start and not everyone in her brother Riley Bollinger’s town needs to know what brought her here. Her first day at her new waitressing job she meets Baby. He comes to her rescue. He’s sexy, smoking hot and has a smile that lights up the room.
Baby notices the gorgeous new waitress from the moment he enters the room. He feels an instant connection. When he finds her alone on her birthday a few days later. He can’t seem to stay away and he doesn’t want to.
Baby loves life... He has great friends, he loves his mechanic shop and always makes people laugh. But he’s hiding a secret of his own. He’s not so sure cupcake will be interested if she finds out.
Quinn has troubles of her own when a stalker follows her to Oak Creek. Can Baby and the Linear Tactical team save her when her past comes back to destroy her future?
