Camryn Matthews knows how to make music and dance, but he’s tired of living a lie. Being part of the recording group Low Down is fine, but he can’t be himself. The fans want a fantasy, not a gay man. Besides that, he can’t make the music in his soul. Where’s a man to look when he needs a fresh start?
Rian’s the prince of the mers, and he’s tired of being used. He wants someone to love him for his song. When he hears the sweet, low voice coming from the cruise ship, he knows he’s found his match. But will the human sacrifice everything to live in Paradise, deep in the heart of Lake Erie?
Customer Reviews
Whimsical. Nice story.
Whimsical. Nice story. Camryn a singer in a once successful band, just wasn't feeling it. His volumn was low and he couldn't really connect with the audience. Surprisingly, the band abruptly kicks him out while on a gig on a cruise over Lake Erie. They offered to let him keep the suite until the end. He was singing on his balcony when he heard a voice, with whom he harmonized perfectly. He accepted that Rian was a merman and lived in a different world. Rian tranformed and spent a little time on deck. Cam learned that the band wasn't as successful without him as they expected. Both Cam and Rian had difficult choices to make coming from different worlds. Can Cam be happy under the lake? Can Rian be happy on land? Is there a compromise? What about the band? I did not like the implied solution for the band. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
