Walk the Dog
A sexy, angsty, hot single dad feel-good romance
Against my better judgment, I agree to dogsit for a friend.
As feared, it does not go well.
That might be an understatement.
Here we are at the vet on a Saturday morning-- the dog's fault, not mine.
On the bright side, the dog will be okay and Dr. Herriot could star in his own veterinary reality TV show, if there is such a thing.
The man is sex in scrubs.
This vet might just become the highlight of my year.
As it turns out, not only is he single, but he also needs some fun in his overworked life.
And fun? That I can do.
Eventually, I'll return home to New Orleans. My family has expectations.
These are the years I'll remember. These are the years for me.
My daughter is my world. The fledgling veterinary practice is my career and my passion.
As a single dad, I couldn't balance both without help from others.
Some days, it doesn't feel like I'm balancing anything at all.
Delilah Daniels walks into the clinic on one of those days. My partners are out with the flu, and I, once again, am stuck at work.
I can't even explain why I ask her out. It's spontaneous. There's an energy to her. A zest for life.
And there's something about how she cares for her friend's dog.
We aim for casual.
The problem is that I'm not really a casual guy.
Sometimes, things are so right with us, I think we can make this work.
If I can convince Delilah her home's no longer in the Big Easy…
"A sexy romp of a romance novel that also manages to take a look at some tough, worthy questions about what it takes to build and sustain--not only joyful, organically heartfelt relationships--but also a joyful, organically heartfelt life." IndieReader, May 2020

Walk the Dog
First time reading this author. A sweet love story. Too old to enjoy reading about a quick meet and jumping into bed together and language used. But that seems to be the trend and obviously sells. But all in all a good story. I did wonder about Amber the X and what her reaction was or will be when she finds out about Delilah’s move in. But it seemed to have a HEA.
This story was funny and interesting. The characters were fantastic and the story was beautiful. Great story.
Tried to hard to be funny
I got tired of the female main character saying “oh mylanta” or “nuts and berries” like anyone actually says this on a regular basis and is considered funny.
