Color of Blood

A young field agent goes missing while undercover at the U.S. Consulate in Perth, Western Australia. A veteran, but emotionally complicated investigator from the CIA's Investigator General's Office is sent to close the book on the case of the missing agent. Back in Washington, the investigator accidentally receives the dead agent's personal belongings in a bureaucratic foul-up. What he discovers among the personal effects upends the case and sends the investigator careening from Washington, to Europe and eventually into the dead, read desert of the Outback in search of a very uncomfortable truth.
