Publisher Description
When love's song takes over, you're forced to find the beat.
Once a player, always a player. And all men, in my experience, are. It's like they can't help themselves.
Usually, that reminder is enough. I dismiss most before I even meet them. Especially the hot ones.
Like Ryan. Lead singer of the band Rhiannon.
So hot it hurts, he can have any woman he wants. (And has, if the rumours are to be believed, and why wouldn't I believe them?)
But he keeps trying. And I don't understand it. He shows up at the Winter Wonderland. Sends me an MP3 player full of music to keep me company on a long drive.
So maybe I'll give in. At least, long enough to get it out of our systems. I mean, once he gets what he wants, he'll disappear, right?
Never mind how I'll feel when he does.
Chasing Alys is a slow burn steamy rockstar romance. It is the first book following Rhiannon and the first in the True Platinum Series. If you enjoy obsessed cinnamon roll heroes, take no-nonsense heroines and hook ups gone wrong, you'll love Chasing Alys.

Four stars because it was better than most free books
This is the first book by this author that I have read. I’ve read a few rockstar romances and they are hit or miss. I started with a sample and it caught my attention, and as the book was free, I went ahead and got the entire thing and finished it in one sitting.
I am a fan of her writing style and liked the story.
The third act breakup was Alys making a mountain out of a molehill and she bolted without asking Ryan to explain what she saw. Typical. I thought it was a weak cop out, but now that I ended up binge reading the next two in the series (second one is currently free as well, the third one is $4.99). Mel and Nia also have their third act “let me blow this way out of proportion” situations as well. So I’m assuming it’s a theme throughout the series.
All in all, not enough to turn me away from her books. It’s borderline 3 stars, but I enjoyed it enough to give it 4. Not feeling Jared’s story, which is next. May skip it.
Way too long
This book is about 3x too long. It’s not interesting enough to take up so many pages.
What a chase…
The beginning was slow to start. Happy I stayed with it! They steamy moments weren’t so bad either.
