Publisher Description
This book of poetry spans the majority of Russell Peterson's lifetime...from his teen years until his untimely and unexpected death at age 47. A devout Catholic, but also a philosopher and man intrigued by other faiths, his poems about spirituality are varied. Russell was a man who cherished his family, and through his poems you come to know the struggles he faced emotionally over his mom's death at age 54. Russell enjoyed nothing more than a walk on a beach at sunset, and the nature lover in him is addressed in a few of his poems as well.
Russell planned to someday get his poetry published, but as is often the case with early death, his dream was in danger of dying with him. For this reason I have decided, with his wife's approval and support, to compile these poems to share his thoughts with the world.

Just Beautiful!
Russell Perterson was a man of quiet intelligence able to absorb the subtle nuances of the world spinning around him. Opening to any one of his poems in this thoughtfully published anthology will testify to that part of his soul. As poetry is written from the author’s perspective it can often be difficult to write a review. As I read these poems, however, I found myself smiling, getting teary-eyed, and genrally “feeling” what the author must have been feeling as he wrote the words. If you are a person who likes people, nature, and exploring the inner-workings of your own soul—I urge you to read this book (bonus points if you do so barefoot on a beach...anywhere!).
