A Year of Rain
I downloaded this book because I wanted a supernatural story. That ended up being the smallest aspect of it. 😕 It mostly talked about how to cook with the bare minimum amount of ingredients and dealt with the MC’s emotional inner turmoil. From the synopsis I expected a lot more action and a much faster pace to the book, but I can’t tell you how many times I set this aside and then came back to it later, determined to cross it off my list. WHEN there were occasions with the supernatural they were well written, but unfortunately very short and spaced out far from each other. After the first one happened I thought great now we’re getting into it but no. More cooking and angst.
Not a reader.
I read very occasionally, like once every few years. That being said, I couldn’t put this book down. If you enjoy supernatural love stories, you will love this book. There are a few unexpected surprises along the way.
