Publisher Description
A moving story of danger and devotion, book two by Readers' Favorite award-winning author...
Can their love survive distance, danger—and doubt?
Gia Carter thought taking over her late cousin's architecture project in New Orleans would help heal her family. Instead, it's made her a target. Eco-activist threats are turning violent, and a bodyguard is suddenly at her side—closer than Xander has been in months. Maybe it would be easier to let go of the man she loves than fight for a relationship stretched to its breaking point.
In Denver, Xander Reinerman is fighting to clear his name once and for all. But settlements and legal battles can't protect him from the anonymous letters and brutal gang attacks that signal someone is determined to silence him—forever.
With miles between them and enemies on every side, Gia and Xander must decide whether their fragile love can withstand the lies, the danger, and the unseen enemy bent on tearing them apart.

Customer Reviews
Great book 2!
Awesome book 2. Really loving the development of the characters and the love of Xander and Gia.
Next Chapter
This is the second story by C.D. Gill involving Xander and Gia in the Against All Odds Series. While still in love, Xander and Gia spend much of the book in separate places. Xander is still trying to piece his life together and fully clear his name. Gia is involved with family drama, a stalker and viable threats to her life. Their enforced time apart is playing havoc with their relationship goals. I really enjoyed this book and how the author keeps so many moving parts in play.

Quite suspenseful
The continuation of this series continues to give the reader a really suspenseful and romantic book to read. It turned out to be a page-turner and the relationship between Gia and Xander was really interesting to watch develop—despite the distance between them. It was a really good book to read and I would definitely recommend it
