Publisher Description
In this debut collection of poems Pineda dives into the complexity of the self and the curse and divine cruelty that comes with love and infatuation. Every stage of it. Daniella Pineda is an undergraduate student at New York University with a Creative Writing concentration at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She attributes her writing style to her biggest influences Chelsea Hodson, Eve Babitz, and Joan Didion. Pineda works across several literary genres from Memoirs to Journalism and most recently Poetry. Pineda founded her first blog A Teenage Perspective in late 2019 where she published articles on social issues and personal issues through her own ( a teenager) perspective. Her blog has now evolved to DPerspective, life through her eyes. She strives to find the pulchritude in every day life and immerse the reader in topics intimacy, body image, the digital world and things we all know too well. Her writing has the feel of journal/diary entries and raw emotional conversation. With a unique yet contemporary aproach to poetry and writing her collection makes it a point to influence and emotionally resonate with her readers.
