This sci-fi thriller explores the possibility that when we dream, we're merely glimpsing into an alternate reality. Three strangers bound together by a shared dream fight against the current of fate. Can they come to terms with the truth? Are we the only versions of ourselves? Are you the best version of you to exist? They must find each other without losing themselves. Two universes hang in the balance as external forces vie for control of their ability to peer into an alternate reality.

Razzles7 ,

Fun read, great exploration of alternate reality!

What a fun read this one was!!

First, I have to thank the author for translating the words used that were Spanish slang. Second, I want to thank him for providing the explanation of the military terms used. That helped me know what was being said without having to run Google terms AND taught me a little something along the way.

I guess since I'm doing thanks, I have to throw in a sarcastic "thank you" for making sure I'll never be able to see someone administer CPR in the future without singing "Stayin Alive" softly to myself. That was so funny, even though it was a serious situation, but it made sure it's one I won't forget anytime soon! (You would have to meet Selene to understand the context)

This delightful sci fi thriller unfolds from the perspectives of Selene, Joseph and Corey. Selene is a young lady about to embark on her college education journey, Joseph is forever chasing the next role to make sure his name is forever remembered and Corey is intent on having an impeccable career with the U.S. Navy. The three characters could not have been more different from one another, both in where they currently are with their lives as well as personality and outlook. They shouldn't work together, but they did. (And in the best of ways!)

I was having a great time just getting a slice of life from all three...and then I hit that first chapter where I realized we weren't in Kansas anymore! This book explores the theory that when we dream, it's not actually a dream - but that our brains, when we reach a certain depth of sleep to present a certain wave, "jumps" into another reality, an alternate world. In this alternate reality, depending on the choices you made, you could have a completely different life - for better or for worse. Do I have your interest yet?

Okay, what if we add in the bonus of an event when one or more people "jump" into the same alternate reality...and when they wake up - should they happen to meet in real life - they recognize each other...and it's not deju vu. These events are very rare and have serious consequences...some of which our characters encounter...

I noticed a couple times where the plot sort of jumped itself. Maybe I've been looking too hard for conspiracy theories, but I'm torn between thinking, okay maybe that was a little mistake by the author, perhaps they changed that section and left out a sentence. OR MAYBE - just follow me here - MAYBE it's a little foreshadowing in regards to what reality the characters are in. Like maybe they thought they had woken up, but really hadn't, they were in ANOTHER reality...? Hmmm. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens in the next book!

I wasn't ready for this one to be over and boy howdy was it left at a GREAT spot to carry forward for more! I loved the premise - it was presented so logically that I swallowed it hook, line and sinker. (I should also point out science and such is not my field of knowledge, lol) Our main characters were so relatable - you just can't help but love them, especially their group dynamic. I was living for the budding bromance between Corey and Joseph!!

The author did reach out to me to see if I would be interested in reading the eBook in exchange for an honest review, to which I agreed. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own, as well as the decision to continue the series.
