Twelve Great Reads!
This book has 12 great stories. Often, you find some authors on anthologies who just “dial in a story.” On this compilation, every single author showed up and provided a top notch story. I highly recommend purchasing this box set while it’s available. I enjoyed stories by authors who feel like old friends, and discovered a few new authors who I’ll add to my reading list.
Lovely Holiday Collection
A great collection of holiday stories.
My Duchess, My Wife by Sasha Cottman
Twenty-eight years of marriage, four children, and a scandal or three have not dampened the love or ardor of the Duke and Duchess of Strathmore. This year, once again, Ewan and Caroline have a castle full of relatives for the Christmas celebration. She is wearing herself out trying to get everything ready. Ewan decides that it is time his wife took a break, got a bit of rest, and paid him some special attention. This story shows that it is entirely possible for a couple in love to have a happily ever after, ever after.
Yule Be My Duke by Darcy Burke
Since some childish pranks went embarrassingly too far at a house party five years ago, Cecilia and John do not care for each other, at all. Their parents feel differently. They would like them to be married. When they are paired for the Yule log hunt, Cecilia concocts a plan to leave John lost in the woods. A snowstorm thwarts her plans, and they are forced to spend the night together in a cabin. Now what do think will come of that? This is a cute story with a hero and heroine who still have a bit of growing up to do, scheming friends and parents, and just maybe an HEA.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily reviewing these stories.
This was a twelve novella collection of historical, spicy reads set during the holidays. There’s everything from enemies to lovers (Darcy Burke’s Yule be my Duke) to a cold duke aptly named Thomas Hardacre.
This anthology is an absolute must read.
