Plus One

I’ve been in love with Olivia for years, but she never saw me as more than her best friend’s brother.

 

So I packed up and left. Moved away to get some much-needed distance from her and the pull I constantly felt while still staying in touch as her friend.

 

And what are friends for except to jump in when needed? So when she swears off men just in time for wedding season, I impulsively volunteer to be her stand-in wedding date.

 

The problem is, Olivia and I get along just as well as we always have. We make each other laugh and finish each other’s sentences. Not to mention we have the kind of chemistry that’s hard to ignore. Especially when we attend an out of town wedding and have to share a hotel room with only one bed.

 

It doesn’t take long to realize we’re great in and out of the bedroom, and by Date Number Four, there’s no denying I’m still in love with her.

 

The trouble is, Olivia’s only looking for a plus one during her summer of fun. And I won’t settle for less than forever with her.
