Publisher Description

Drunk-texting a grumpy soccer star?

Best worst decision of my life.

Especially when the player is the sinfully handsome, foul-mouthed Holden Sanders… my new library assistant.

The benched bad boy needed an image makeover, I needed to save my job, and his star status was just what the library ordered to raise awareness for our fundraising campaign. The press can’t get enough of Mr. Growly reading to kids.

It's win-win and completely platonic.

Until I need a shoulder to cry on after drowning my heartbreak in too many margaritas. I only typed that invitation to his brawny biceps and perfect pectorals for fun–I never meant to hit send. Holden isn’t the kind of guy to care about tears and feelings, least of all mine. He’s made it clear good girls aren’t his type.

But he shows up–with his strapping shoulder, a box of tissues, and a supersized bag of Doritos.

That’s when I realize there’s more to him than meets the eye.

One soulful, smoldering mistake of a kiss has me craving more, and the heat between us quickly builds to a blaze neither of us can control.

But I’m not the only one guarding secrets, and Holden’s might push us to the breaking point.

Even if I’m surrounded by books, I know better than to believe in storybook endings.

And yet, I want to believe...that grumpy guy is a keeper.

He's a Keeper is a standalone sports romance in the San Francisco Strikers series with a HEA.

Such a fun read

Oh Holden, you delicious grump-asaurus! I loved him from page one, from his gruff outward personality to his affection and connection to his niece. The banter between him and Molly drew me in right away…charming sarcasm is definitely my jam! Molly is outwardly sunshiney, but she does have a bit of darkness inside her, which she shares with Holden when he scoffs at the idea. She was occasionally a bit much for me…not the sunshine but a bit of the almost martyr-like tendency. Regardless, the pair kept me turning pages and chuckling from beginning to end. What a great way to spend some free time!

Love at the library

This was a sports romance taking place in San Franscisco in the world of Soccer. It stars Holden who is a Keeper for his professional team until he gets injured and with an ex who has ruined his reputation he is pretty miserable of a guy.

When he is sidelined with a concussion injury he is bored and spends time with his niece and that's how he ends up at Storytime at his local library where he meets part time librarian, Molly.

Molly and Holden have a lot in common. She lost a boyfriend in a tragic way and has decided to never date or have a boyfriend again. He after the mess his ex left him, he has decided Soccer is his focus and is anti dating.

When these two meet they form a story time partnership and become friends of a sort which leads to more. They are both in a lot of pain from life and I liked that they share that pain with each other. It ends up strengthening their careers and life goals rather than taking away from it.

I loved the team and support system they form and I loved how honest they are with each other when Holden ends up having a career opportunity. This was a wonderful romance and a feel good story. I really adored Molly and Holden.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
