Publisher Description
In appearance Hercule Poirot hardly resembled an ancient Greek hero. Yet—reasoned the detective—like Hercules he had been responsible for ridding society of some of its most unpleasant monsters.
So, in the period leading up to his retirement, Poirot made up his mind to accept just twelve more cases: his self-imposed 'Labours'. Each would go down n the annals of crime as a heroic feat of deduction.

Good collection of short stories from Agatha
These aren't the best of Christie's work but they do make for a good read. I believe Agatha's genius lies in the journey she takes us on while we try to unravel the mystery. Although the stories are good, they are too short for us to become fully immersed in the tale. They're like finger food: they make for great treats if you don't have too much time to sit and consume.
