A Pinch of Salt

Many of the folks who live in and around Bump City, Oregon, think that the Hickabee woman folk are witches through and through.  Thirteen-year-old Iris Hickabee doesn’t know what to think.  She knows her mother, her grandmother, and her great granny get kind of spooky around Halloween.  And then there’s old Edna.  Why is she so concerned about an old apple orchard, anyway?  Go ahead, have a sip of witches brew with just a pinch of salt!
