Definitely worth plodding through Part 1. The meaning of this beautiful tale is slowly and artfully hinted at in Part 2, and gloriously revealed in Part 3. A perfect choice for a book club, or a pensive endeavor for a Dickens fan. I highly recommend this classic tale, which I believe is a precursor to A Christmas Carol.
